Additional Details

  • Our bratwurst is cut from Berkwood Pork Picnic Cushions that come from the hog's shoulder. This meat is cut from the anterior side of the hot and is paired with a custom blend of smoky, cheesy, and spicy seasonings.

  • Our bratwurst comes from Berkwood pork farms which raise 100% Berkshire hogs. These hogs are smaller and fattier than most other hogs, which produces exceptional marbling throughout the cut.

  • Ingredients: Pork, cheese curd (cultured pasteurized milk, salt, enzymes annatto color), water, jalapeños, salt, raw cane sugar, spices, pork casing. Contains a milk allergen.

  • Each order is packed with dry ice so that it stays completely frozen while en route to your doorstep.

How To Prepare

  • Thaw your bratwurst in the refrigerator overnight (8-12 hours) before cooking. To speed up the thawing process, place the vacuum-sealed roast in a leak-proof plastic bag and submerge it in cold water.

  • Bratwursts can be prepared on the grill, in the oven, or on a skillet. We suggest starting on low heat so as to not burst the casing, and then char up the exterior before serving.

  • Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145° F for safe consumption.

  • Note: Consuming raw or undercooked pork may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

FAQs

FAQs

Where does Market House source its pork from?
+
-

Our Bratwurst is sourced from Berkwood pork farms that raise 100% Berkshire hogs, which are smaller and leaner than most other hogs. Berkwood pork is humanely raised and bred to the highest standards without antibiotics, growth hormones, or animal byproducts used in feed.

What does 100% Berkshire mean?
+
-

Berkshire pork is a type of hog. Our bratwurst is cut from 100% Berkshire hogs, meaning no cross-breeding exists.

What is the difference between sausage and bratwurst?
+
-

In short, bratwurst is a type of sausage, but not all sausages are bratwursts. Sausages commonly have a synthetic casing, whereas bratwursts usually have a natural animal casing, and bratwursts are always sold fresh, with raw meat – never pre-cooked.

How long can I keep my pork in the freezer?
+
-

All of our products will stay good in the freezer for several months. However, for the best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying them within 2-3 months.
